He is the archetypal businessman – a deal maker without peer. Mr. Soglia was born in Salerno, on the 12th of January 1971. He attended Cardiff Business School, University of Wales and later New York University, Stern School of Business. He gained a Master in Business Administration from the Polytechnic of Milan. Mr. Soglia started his business career in 1995 with his father in Castel San Giorgio, a little village near the Amalfi Coast (Italy).
He worked with his father for four years, busy finalizing many deals together Mr. Soglia has been quoted as saying, “My father was my mentor, and I learned a tremendous amount about every aspect of the business from him”.” In Italy and around the world, the Soglia signature is synonymous with the most prestigious of addresses, among them is the world-renowned Villa Soglia. The Soglia Group was also responsible for the designation and construction of the Amalfi Coast Airport and the Arechi Stadium in Salerno as well as the total exterior and interior restoration of the Lloyd’s Baia Hotel on the Amalfi Coast. The development is considered one of the most successful restorations in Italy and earned Mr. Soglia an award from the Italian Chamber of Commerce for the “tasteful and creative recycling of a distinguished hotel”. Over the years, Mr. Soglia has owned and sold many great buildings in Italy including the Gallia Gran Baita Hotel in Courmayeur – Mont Blanc (which he renovated and brought back to its original splendor).
